Mostly Nature Photograghy
This is an introduction to my photography. I enjoy hiking so you will see many photos taken at state parks or regional parks, or...who knows where. Though mostly nature photography, I am sure that there will be other subjects as well.
Since this hobby has taken a significant amount of my time, so I at least want to share and document a small part of it for family and others who might enjoy it. Thanks for taking time to look at my work.

This is an album of the photograghs that I think are my personal best. I think I have pushed the shutter button about 10,000 times since 2005. For this album I will try to select my top 25. This will be ongoing process and will take time because I will be working from present time back over the last 6 years, selecting and perhap reprocessing each shot. Sounds like alot of work doesn't it?

02/24/2012 My most used image processing software packages are CaptureOne, Bibble, and Photomatix. For my first HDR project I am going to artificially make an exposure bracketed 16-bit tiff set with CaptureOne which is a great and accurate straight forward processing package. Then process those for HDR in Photomatix. Details to follow.

Here are some photos I took while out for a late evening walk at Fort Snelling State Park. I continued taking pictures until the sun went down. Without a tripod I had to use trees and bridge railings to steady my shot. The exposure times ranged from 1 to 10 seconds.

Since I have three boys that skateboard I have taken alot of photos at indoor and outdoor skateparks. It's fast action and alittle challenging to catch the right moment. I have some good shots but I feel like I have missed photograghing the most interesting locations like "The Pizza Hut Gap", "The Old Warehouse", "The Streets of Downtown", and "The Random Handrails".
